In this interactive workshop, participants will reflect on their current reality, explore how personal mindset impacts relationships with students, and learn how to recognize and navigate resistance to change—both in themselves and others. Using practical tools and techniques, we'll uncover how assumptions and perceptions influence our ability to connect with students who seem unmotivated or disengaged. Walk away with greater self-awareness and strategies to lead positive mindset shifts across your classroom and school community.

This session is for those "avoid data at all cost" humans among us—the ones who connect with students and staff but may find numbers intimidating or low on the priority list. We'll introduce creative, accessible ways to gather and use data for continuous improvement within GEAR UP frameworks. This highly interactive workshop emphasizes practical strategies and non-traditional approaches that help make data meaningful, even if spreadsheets aren't your thing. You'll leave with tools to better understand what's working, where to grow, and how to use simple data to strengthen relationships, engagement, and results across your school or program.
